A huge THANKYOU to a few different companies here in Colombia who turned what could've been a frustrating and exhausting experience into a wonderful and relaxing one. Yesterday our flight home was delayed by 7 hours, leaving us arriving into Bogota at 10.30pm and missing our connecting flight, and all connecting flights for the day. But thanks to @latamairlines who notified us well in advance of the delay, so we could hang out in Leticia instead of waiting at the airport, they then went on to give us a generous delay refund voucher and booked us into a very nice airport hotel for the night, and even provided a dinner for us on arrival. The lovely customer service operator I spoke to on the phone even shifted us onto a later connecting flight rather than the first one, so that we could enjoy a little hotel sleep in and amazing buffet breakfast before going on our way. Also @alofthotels Bogota Airport have been exceptional in everything – from outstanding rooms, food, and customer service. Also shout-out to @bookingcom who's customer service person on the phone was exceptionally helpful and friendly in helping me solve another hotel booking related problem. The last 24 hours have been an incredible display of first rate customer service … The kind that goes above and beyond.. from three different companies. Such a nice experience and I'm very grateful Also, here's a I spotted out the window while flying over the Amazon!
