Next Post10 idyllic days to take in the Vosges mountains of the Alsace region where France meets Germany and Switzerland. Surrounded by alpine air and hills of firs. Hundreds of tiny villages plucked right out of Hansel and Gretel in a part of France that has many times been part of Germany instead. Bubbling streams, ski chalets, slopes of wildflowers and the local villagers all out playing pétanque and drinking local Reisling on a lovely Saturday night. This could easily be my life, I always feel so at home in these kinds of forest villages that dot across hillsides.
