Enjoying a very local crémant rosé this evening – this Alsatian wine is produced using the same methods as champagne. The rosé is especially rare and wonderful as it uses 100% Pinot noir grapes, an unusual feat in the world of rosé & champagnes. This particular bottle was made by a local family winery and bought from a hole-in-the-wall tasting room in Riquewihr, a gorgeous winery village in the Alsace wine route. Feel very lucky to get to get to try a bottle while we are here ???
