Misty road trips through the magnificent Malahat
I think it’s pretty incredible how trees use vast networks of fungi across the forests to communicate. Thin filaments of hyphae fungi transmitting communications across miles and miles of forest floor, nature is rather amazing in the complex ways it works. Spending my afternoon lunch break wandering the forests and contemplating the complexity of these beautiful mushrooms that look look like they belong in a fairy world.
One of the benefits to studying my bachelors degree long distance from New Zealand (thanks @masseyuni )is a few times a year I get to sit my semester final exams from a university campus assessment centre close to wherever I am. This time, I’m getting to explore a Canadian university campus for my exams this week & next. As my first semester back at school as an adult student, I’m pretty nervous about sitting exams again! But also excited, and gosh it’s really pretty here
