How’s everyone out there doing? Today was beginning to feel pretty claustrophobic for me. I’m so used to large, wild spaces and ever-changing scenery. Static is not part of my usual vocabulary. So I forced myself out to to the thing that always heals me, but that I haven’t done in a long, long while. I ran… And I ran, and I ran, until I ran out of breath and then I ran some more. I ran for 5km round the hills this time, which isn’t a lot but is a damned good effort for my first time back out in my running shoes for many months. I had forgotten how good it is for me. How much of a meditation it is to push through those barriers and fill my lungs with fresh air. How much therapy comes from pounding through the grounds and being with my thoughts. And, the views were pretty amazing too. Going to work on bringing this amazing tool back into my everyday routine.
