Nishiki Market, Kyoto.? ? Japan blew me away. Of all my travels, it's the last place I visited before 2020 happened (and travel stopped happening) and it's had a huge impact.? ? I am constantly reading, watching, learning more and more about Japanese culture & food, I want so much to go back and visit soon. Totally besotted. ? ? This photo was taken in the Nishiki Market, Kyoto at a small standing sake bar which also sold famous pickled vegetables, fermented with miso. I tried the most delicious ume sake, and was a regular at this gorgeous little spot during our time in Kyoto. ? ? I'm thinking a lot recently about visiting Japan again when travel is possible. Where are you thinking of going once you can?
