From the Mezcal/Tequila/Raicilla/Aguamiel/Pulque producuing agaves; the fruit producing cacti which bring us tuna fruit (prickly pear), dragon fruits, and garambullo; through to the every day nopale paddles eaten with just about everything.? ? – there's a lot the rest of the world could learn about these fascinating plants. ? ? Over the past months, and years, each time I visit Mexico I learn a new reason to appreciate & enjoy cacti and succulents, and learn about the myriad nutrients & fibre & beverage possibilities they hold inside.
