Previous PostPortugal has, over time, become famous for canned seafood. Sardines, cod, octopus.. whatever you like you can find here in beautiful tins covering the walls of popular tourist shops. ? ? The history of Portugal meant for a long time, people survived mostly off preserved and easy to aqquire foods. Being a coast nation, seafood is a big part of that. ? ? But it was only in recent years an entreprenurial business man rebranded tinned fish, put them in colourful tins, and decided to sell to tourists. ? ? Now downtown lisbon is full of these very photogenic tinned fish shops. ? ?
