New post on my blog! Exploring the Most Charming Small Towns in New Zealand’s South Island? ? I was born and raised on the South Island of New Zealand, but it took me until my adult life of traveling the world to come to appreciate how beautiful and unique this island really is. But the more I travelled, the more I heard from people along my way how much they dreamed of visiting New Zealand. My curiousity was always piqued – where would you like to go?? ? The answers were always similar; Queenstown usually came up, or perhaps they'd heard of Auckland, or wanted to visit the Hobbiton set. ? ? But what about the small towns? I thought. ? ? Well, it turns out that most people haven't heard of the charming small towns smattered throughout the South Island, and in the spirit of I reached out to some fellow travellers & travel bloggers to ask them what was their favourite small town to visit in New Zealand. Combined with some of my own personal favourites, here's some of the South Island's most gorgeous little towns.? ? As always, the link is in my bio – or you can use this one: http://buff.ly/3k3riUZ? ?
day 13 Such a beautiful little port we have here. I’m going to really miss living on the water like this. Only two more nights left in our lovely temporary home, 6 months has flown by! Today I’m grateful for being able to find such a beautiful house, ready and furnished down to the sheets, knives and forks – an AirBNB turned rental during pandemic times, ready for two wandering travellers to call home base for six months in the midst of a sudden lockdown.
day 10 How amazing are these views? This is from the living room of my parents house and every time I visit I’m in awe of how beautiful it is here I’m house + dog sitting this weekend, and today I’m thankful for .. the last 6 months living so close to family for the first time in years, I’ve loved reconnecting & sharing weekly family dinners excited for a two week long road trip across NZ in a week from now – I’m so thankful to be in a country that is so safe right now, and that we are free to travel with minimal risk of virus in our country I say this every day but I’m thankful for daylight savings.. ever since we moved our clocks back I’ve been loving the extra hour of sunlight each evening!
