being a fishing town, fuseta is laden with fishing boats and people dining on fresh seafood at the waterside. ? ?
fuseta is primarily a fishing village, which has caught up with the popularity of the algarve in recent times to become a vacation spot. ? ? It has this long, long boardwalk through the salt marsh to a sandbar and beaches. ? ? It feels less polished than some other algarve towns, and less English spoken – both things I like! Yet there are still a handful of very fancy new condos going up, so I'm sure its time as a cute vacation stop are coming to an end. ? ?
After we left Alcácer do Sal, the town where we stayed in a Castle, we spent a day road tripping around the southern coast of the Algarve. ? ? We stopped in a small town called Fuseta. Fuseta is a wildlife haven because it sits on the edge of the Ria Formosa Nature Park. ? ? Some of the more surprising wildlife you can spot here are flamingos, and Portugal's precious & rare Mediterranean chameleon. ? ?
