The yellow ginkgo leaves contrasted in such a surreal way with the ultra-blue dusky sky this evening that wandering the streets of Victoria felt like it has been over-saturated in photoshop. But no – no filters needed, just BC playing a few last hands of fall before winter truly arrives.
I think it’s pretty incredible how trees use vast networks of fungi across the forests to communicate. Thin filaments of hyphae fungi transmitting communications across miles and miles of forest floor, nature is rather amazing in the complex ways it works. Spending my afternoon lunch break wandering the forests and contemplating the complexity of these beautiful mushrooms that look look like they belong in a fairy world.
